Jacqueline Fernandez, a Sri Lankan actor hailing from Bahrain's Manama was raised in a multicultural family. Jacqueline's father Elroy Fernandez comes originally from Sri Lanka (Sinhalese - Catholic)and her mother Kim is Malaysian. There are two brothers younger than her and a older sister. The family relocated to Bahrain in 1980s due to the Lankan civil unrest and hence she was raised in Bahrain. In Australia she was enrolled in Media and Communications at University of Sydney following her graduation from Bahrain. In order to further her love of the world of languages, cultures and languages, she was enrolled at the Berlitz language schools where she was able to study Spanish as well as improve French and Arabic. Miss Sri Lanka 2006 competed in the Miss Universe 2006 and Miss Universe 2006 as well as Miss Universe 2006 when she won the title in 2006. In the wake of being crowned Miss Sri Lanka in 2006 Padukone was able to begin her work on television. She was the host of the program Lanka Business Report which focused on the business of Sri Lanka. Padukone (the child of former badminton player Prakash Padukone) was born and grew up in Bangalore. As a teenager Padukone played in many National badminton competitions. She eventually gave up playing when she made the decision to become a fashion model. Padukone is a native of Mangalore, India. Her mother tongue Konkani is where she comes from. Padukone is located in Kundapura Taluk of Karnataka's Udupi District. Prakash Padukone is her father as well as a former badminton pro of international fame. Her mother is an agent for travel.
